Linux server
2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM cover a small operation. Higher volume needs more memory.
Docker and Docker Compose
The recommended install uses containers; there's no need to install Ruby or Postgres on the machine.
Domain and certificate
A subdomain pointing to the server and a TLS certificate · Let's Encrypt covers it.
SMTP email account
For notifications, agent invites and password recovery.

About the licence
The Hermes core is distributed under the MIT licence and is derived from Chatwoot, whose copyright notice is preserved. The repository's enterprise/ directory is subject to the Chatwoot Enterprise License and is not part of the free tier: using it in production requires a commercial licence from Chatwoot. If you're unsure what your operation can use, talk to us before installing.
Questions about self-hosted
Yes. The Hermes core is distributed under the MIT licence and has no licence cost: you only pay for your own infrastructure. It doesn't include the AI features or the full plugin catalog, which are part of Premium.
The features are equivalent; what changes is who operates the server. On self-hosted Premium, for R$ 789 a month, the software runs on your infrastructure and you maintain it. On Cloud, we host, update and back it up for you.
The community answers on the repository. Response-time support comes with Premium and the Cloud plans.
Yes, in both directions. It's the same product: you can start on the free tier and subscribe to Premium without reinstalling, and you can migrate from self-hosted to Cloud, bringing your instance's data with you.
Plugins are published by their authors in the directory at plugins.hermes.srv.br. The directory holds metadata and links: the code stays in each author's own repository.
